Middlesbrough shocks Manchester United, keeps title race open

Manchester united is succumbing to pressure of titleholder Chelsea. After leading the league table most of the season, Red Devils are giving away points to his opponents. Playing with utmost caution, Manchester United played a 1-1 draw against the struggling Middlesbrough side at Old Trafford. This draw means that Manchester United is now just 4 point ahead of Chelsea, though Blues have game in hand against Newcastle United. If Chelsea manage to beat Magpies today, Manchester United lead will cut down to only 1 point.

Earlier, match was going according to the plan for leaders in their home ground. Manchester united started well and was ahead in just 3 minute when Richardson scored a goal after Wayne Rooney assistance. After the early lead, most of the people thought that Manchester United would thrash Boro by at least 3 or 4 goals but that doesn’t happen. As a matter of fact, Middlesbrough stung by the early goal started playing attacking football and they get the reward in the dying moment of the first half when striker Mark Viduka levelled the scoreline for Boro. Though, Manchester United tried to take the lead once again but Middlesbrough defended admirably.
